Survey on the situation of unaccompanied minor migrants in Serbia

Belgrade,February 1  – Ema Sokolović, a journalist at the Beta News Agency in cooperation with Asylum Protection Center, conducted a survey on the situation of unaccompanied minors in Serbia in November and December. She visited reception and asylum centers, spoke with the minors living in them, but also to those who live outside the camp. Her interlocutors were also representatives of all relevant state institutions that are responsible for this problem.
As the winner of a Young Journalists Contest, whose goal was to motivate the participation of young professionals in political and socially useful topics such as migration and radicalization of young people, Ema Sokolovic, a young journalist from the Beta agency, referred to the issue of a migrant crisis in Serbia from the aspect of one of the most vulnerable migrant and refugee groups, and these are unaccompanied minors.
