Growing tensions towards migrants/refugees in the northern Serbia

The events in Subotica and the conflict between smuggling groups from 07/02/2022, which are disturbing the public, served many people to raise prejudices against refugees in Serbia. The real causes, pushbacks from Hungary, smuggling and the lack of accommodation in the north of Serbia, were not mentioned by the authorities.

APC fights against prejudices and anti-migrant campaigns by presenting the media with reliable and relevant information on the field and by explaining the reasons that led to the difficult humanitarian situation, to the violent clashes between smugglers and spread of their activities in the border areas.
